OUTCOME OF THE FIRST MEETING I THE AFRICA COMMISSION
The Africa Commission held its first meeting in Copenhagen on April 16, 2008.
The Commission decided to focus on young people, employment and economic growth. The Commission agreed on an ambitious working programme, which includes five thematic workshops and seminars in various countries in Africa prior to the next meeting of the Commission.

Four brief background papers were distributed before the first meeting of the Commission. The papers are intended to inspire the discussion by presenting the topics, highlighting the state of play and suggesting some of the key issues at stake.
